Award Nominations

Nominations for the 2019 NAP Awards which will be presented at the Annual Meeting and Forum in Pentagon City on March 9, 2019 have closed.  Any nomination received at this time will be eligible for the 2020 awards.

Nominations are accepted
for the following three awards for 2020:

  • The Nicholas Andrew Cummings Award
  • Interdisciplinary Group Recognition Award
  • Creativity in Practice and Education Award

Submissions are accepted from all NAP Fellows.  There is no official nomination form; simply send your nomination letter with background on the nominee and details on how they fit the award criteria to:

Nicholas Andrew Cummings Award

Named for NAP's Founder, this award is presented annually to a member of a NAP Academy who has demonstrated outstanding or extraordinary contributions to interprofessional health care.

2018 - Gail Jensen, PT, PhD, FAPTA, FNAP

Creativity in Practice and Education Award

This award recognizes and encourages interdisciplinary team programs/projects/models which focus on the improvement of health care.

2018 – Simi Jesto Joseph, DNP, APN, NP-C

NAPO James A. Boucher Award

Awarded to a NAP Optometry Academy member who has demonstrated exemplary contributions to the profession of optometry and healthcare field and has upheld the mission of NAP to advance science and the concept of interdisciplinary healthcare.

2018 - Joseph P. Shovlin, OD, FAAO
